I went by an animal store (food and accessories for animals, not the actual animals) to try and get an idea of what the things we’ll get for our little Osis will be, size, and cost. Ouch. We had estimated the upkeep for a cat every month but although we both knew it would be more expensive this first month when the cat just arrives but… ouch. The estimate cost as it looks like right now:

climbing/scratchy thingy
200 for the cat
550 for the kitty package that gives us the basic stuff we need
500 for the climbing/scratchy thingy (apparantly a norwegian forrest cat can handle being as inside cat as long as we give it climbing, scratching and play opportunities, so I’m not being the overprotective cat monster of a woman)
500 I’m guessing for the vaccination and kastration of the kitty
*ouch*
…and that’s not counting all the time being put into making sure that Osis goes where he’s supposed to do its business and the fear of our apartment not being safe grounds for such a little kitten when I don’t know its whereabouts!
Haha, oh god, I’m getting horrid mental pictures of myself as a mom to an actual baby. I’m gonna be in a state of constant panic!
Poor Osis for having to be the first in my “gentle” (?) care.
Despite all this, I still really can’t wait to welcome little Osis to us. I wonder if this is anything at all what first-time mothers feel like?
A pricy but sweet kiss to all!
